Hey y'all, as you may have noticed, my label TSUNDERE VIOLENCE, recently returned, I also went back to releasing music myself (kicking things off with a new drum'n'bass album on unlucky wind). Since I'm back in the public sphere, thought I should maybe actually try to revive this blog -- what I've been doing, music updates, upcoming/ongoing projects, TV news, and so on.
First, this Summer has been insane for me, I don't know what got into me, but I've been more creative and productive than I have been in many years. I've been making music near daily all Summer, oftentimes multiple tracks a day, day-in-and-day-out, from dawn to late in the night. It's been a ton of fun -- it also completely backed up the TV queue though. Scheduled releases are currently planned out into August of 2027 (yes, 2027) -- and that's with leaving a few things out to add in later. That said, things are spread out and constantly re-arranged, some of the new stuff that I've been completing lately will release this year, some in 2026, some in 2027. Most of these releases have planned physicals (currently Pro-CDrs and cassette tapes), but EPs and things that are absurdly long will remain digital only.
For those who didn't see my posts about it, I'll basically be releasing at least one thing from my archives a month, with a few bonuses scattered throughout. TSUNDERE VIOLENCE releases will occur on the 13th of every month, with again, some bonuses here and there scattered around throughout the upcoming years.
Now, here comes the tricky part, I want to discuss what I've been working on these past few months, but somehow without spoiling upcoming releases/surprises -- though I do plan to make posts for each release that comes out with some added details/background/lore/inspirations/and so on. These new projects will begin releasing in September (August's drop is an old lolicore split that never released for unknown reasons). Also, well, hopefully in September, using a different production plant for that release as I'm very dead-set on digipak cases for that album (it will make sense later), and they've seemingly been in production limbo all week, here's to hoping they get manufactured and arrive on time.
So, as for what the music actually is, without giving too much away, a consistent focus of mine lately has been music of the past -- revisiting the sounds and styles of other eras, spanning from the 1990s to the early 2010s. I seriously got into music in the 00s (it's when I started making my own music as well), so it's been a blast trying to re-create 00s styled music, same with 90s, and of course early 2010s as well. There's a lot of releases in this ongoing "saga", they're being spread out over quite a few months, but I'm really excited to share them with you all and to talk about them further when they release.
Additionally, I've been revisiting a lot of old projects and ideas, some old aliases of mine that haven't had a release in quite sometime are being revived, or being entirely re-worked from the ground up (aka, the old project is killed forever, but a new and improved project takes its place). There's a lot of insane stuff I have lined up for everyone -- all kinds of -core music, but a lot of stuff that I honestly doubt majority of the modern community will even expect to see released.
I've also been genre-hopping hardcore, most of the upcoming music is various forms of electronica, but I also started a new Vocaloid project using Yuki Kaai -- there's already two albums fully produced of this new project. I've been exploring a lot of different techniques and tools in my music as well; digital and analogue manipulations, revisiting old techniques, developing new techniques, and so on -- there really is just too much to talk about in a single post, so that's why I'll do individual posts as releases come out.
Also, just want to say, despite me making music under many different names again, I still have a bunch of new Himeko material coming out (both fully completed and almost completed), so stay tuned for that (if everything goes to plan, future Himeko Katagiri releases planned for this year are August, October, and December -- but again, this is subject to change based on will or production delays/issues -- I try to produce physical copies a few months in advance, but life is unpredictable).
I'll leave this post at that for now, more updates/posts hopefully coming soon (both as releases drop and secrets become revealed). Thank you all for the continued support, God Bless.
