Artist: Surrogate Sigma Genre: Minimal Deep House / Breakbeat Trance Label: Genetic Trance CAT#: GT952 Year: 2018
A small two track EP, with both tracks being a little over two minutes each. The first track is a minimal deep house tune, minimalist drums that gradually build into a nice groove, then pretty sounding cut up rhodes, its a nice track. The second track though is the shining star of the EP, a very 90s sounding breakbeat trance tune, a nice catchy lead combined with some cool borderline jungle breakbeats; the composition is incredibly 90s, and the audio quality makes it sound like it was some old demo on a tape somewhere, its very nice.

Artist: Pudding Store Genre: Techno / House / Hardcore / Drum'n'Bass Label: Genetic Trance CAT#: GT-2023-03-20
Year: 2023
Pudding Store is a very new collaborative project between Vziel (as Surrogate Sigma) and the Brazilian industrial hardcore/D'n'B artist, Cement Tea (and yes, I will include collab projects and bands in this listening list). Everything about this album screams old Archive.org dance music, which comes to no surprise as Vziel is old Archive.org club music, and Cement Tea is heavily inspired by that entire vein of music. First Pudding Store though I think really showcases a fresh side of both artists though, with it neither really sounding like either artist. Cement Tea told me that the album was intentionally produced very quickly, but despite its minimalism, you would never know due to have awesome the songs are. The album ranges between dubby minimal house, to thumping minimal techno full of rhythms that feel both organic and inorganic (especially in the track Curau, one of my favorites on the album).
The album is full of harder tunes as well, mostly in hardcore, but some drum'n'bass as well. These harder tracks really showcase Vziel's unusual (but good) way of handling gabber kicks. The tracks are weird and messy, but I love it, and its great for those who love haphazard and rough rave music. Even in these harder tracks, you can hear signature minimal techno sounds, giving them a really unique vibe. On these harder tracks, I especially love the track Rabri, a hard-hitting to the point minimal hardcore tune. Ebiripo is a very cool track too, full of noisy and dark atmospheres from Cement Tea's trademark sound, but combined with a more traditional and clean club rhythm, gives the song such a bizarre vibe that is really good. The closing track Annin Tofu is a really hypnotic minimal techno track with everything in it putting the listener into a trance, but not in a way that you would expect. All around, this is a really interesting project, and I'm excited to see where it goes.

So far this listening list has been ones that I've heard before, but this release is new to me. A really nice three track EP that has Vziel's signature sound, but is also quite different from other stuff that I've heard by them. The EP follows a consistent Vziel trait, where each track experiments with the same concept and sounds, and all of the tracks are nice and choppy tech house tracks with some IDM elements. The choppy sounds really give moeclick vibes, which is awesome. I especially liked the addition of a breakbeat on the final track.

TV1722 - BxBx - a large chest is fine too Really nice noise single. The track is dense and has really nice screechy sounds. The track is reminiscent of being on a subway train underground, but much louder and noisier. Really nice track, worth checking out if you like noise~
TV1723 - SLIPTRIP - The Chicken Raping A really nice single, starts of with house then goes into speedcore. This song feels really nostalgic, reminds a lot of the stuff I was finding when I first got into breakcore and speedcore. The house part is really nice, then the speedcore and gabber part comes in and tears it up real nicely. Love the variety of kicks nad sounds in the speedcore part, really nice stuff~
TV1724 - Lord Cernunnos - These Go To Eleven These go to eleven like its 9/11. This is the first album of the week, a variety of noise tracks and dark ambient noise. Some of these tracks are extremely dense and sound awesome. The more ambient tracks are also quite good. Really enjoyable release~
TV1725 - Acid Applejack - Fucking jump Acid Applejack keeping the bizarre dubstep trend going with a track that
blends together dubstep and psytrance, with also some EDM trap
influences here and there. The mix of these genres is really
interesting, sounds like the different bass styles would've been hard to
pair together but they did it successfully. Nice track~
TV1726 - j.c.19 - Domo Doom Donnn!!! This one is one long noise track. Was hard to make a preview for it due
to its length and you really need to play the whole thing to get the
full effect as it develops slowly throughout. Really nice drifting noise
thats quite loud.
TV1727 - На 100 Процентов Отмудоханная Бабуля - Drafts [Demo] Ha 100 acts like a retard, but his music is
extremely good and he's a really talented producer when he wants to be.
The album is full of really good drum'n'bass, future bass, dubstep, and
some more genres. The drum'n'bass tracks are upbeat and banging with
really nice bass and melodies pulling it all together. But I think this
album really shines in its dubby tracks that are quite slow but
extremely well made. Total chill music. There is also a really nice
house track on here as well. This is my favorite of the week~
This video actually went up on Sunday, but might as well share it here too. I post these videos everywhere, but here on Lolita Catacombs I'll give some thoughts and commentary on the releases~~
A golden listing means its my favorite of the week~~
TV1716 - CantLoveCat - Las desventuras de mi gato CantLoveCat appeared on Tsundere Violence previously with a nice housey track, and now they're showing their experimental side with a really nice noise EP. The tracks are varied and this has some really great noise. Some tracks are more intense and some are more experimental and industrial; there's even a chipnoise track on here~! If you like noise this is definitely worth downloading~~
TV1717 - Distorted Vortex - left to die. (REMASTERED) I honestly don't know why I've been getting an influx of dubstep submissions lately, but the music is good and people have been enjoying it. This is a really nice EP full of bass house, dubstep, and a nice d'n'b track. The entire EP is really good, but I especially love the bass house tracks on this, those are crazy good.
TV1718 - Ninja McTits - Facebook Live From My Bedroom 1/20/2017 & 12/8/2017 This is a release of mine, been slowly releasing a bunch of stuff from my archives. I honestly thought these were released but then discovered them with raw file names. There used to be videos of these but they're now gone. Maybe I downloaded them at some point, but I honestly don't know. I skinned my finger and thought I broke my amp, good times~~
TV1719 - Shitwiz - Beverage AcidShitwiz lately has been experimenting with live-improv dance music. First was a gabber release (also on Tsundere Violence), and now a really nice acid album. This release is full of funky basslines, some are fun to listen to and some are totally banging. Really nice rhythms in the whole thing throughout~~ TV1720 - Lord Cernunnos - Sunflowers Really nice glitchy noise single from Lord Cernunnos. Sounds like took a noise recording an did "speedrush glitches" on the whole thing, I think there's equipment that can do this too, I honestly don't know what method they used to make this but it sounds really good. Nice to see Lord Cernunnos experimenting with more spastic noise, really nice stuff. Also I love sunflowers so bonus points for that~~ TV1721 - ★Lolitwinx★ - ADSR -alternative-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA this album is so good~!!! ★Lolitwinx★ is one of my favorite Tsundere Violence artists, and this album is insanely good. Its full of j-core, progressive trance, progressive house, future bass, dubstep, hardstyle, lolicore, etc. The album is full of bangers and I love the heavy amount of atmosphere in this album. Sounds like lolis raving in clouds of cotton candy, really amazing stuff; this is definitely a must download, my favorite of the week. Also, this is an alternative version of their self-released album, ADSR. The two versions sounds quite different and ADSR has some extra content, so make sure to check that out too (its on their Bandcamp)~!
