Four seconds of loud high pitch sine waves. Not much to comment on.

Vziel Projet Listening List 29: Vziel Projet - Fuck You

Artist: Vziel Projet
Genre: Gaijikore
Label: Million Releases Records
CAT#: N/A
Year: 2019

A short 29 second gaijikore cover of Queen's We Will Rock You, complete with original lyrics. Its pretty humorous to me since when I was in like first grade I had a friend, and we had our joke version of this song with lyrics about flushing cats down toilets, and this single reminds me of that.

Vziel Projet Listening List 12: Vziel Projet - Мне нравится не нравиться

Artist: Vziel Projet
Genre: Experimental
Label: Genetic Trance
CAT#: GT970
Year: 2018

A short two track experimental EP. The first track Opus 6 starts with some cut-up Eastern European music, then sounds that sound like you're scanning shortwave radio, then a long section of crappy text-to-speech (and I have no clue what its saying, especially since I don't think its even in english). The second track is some loud high pitched frequencies and a looped sample. This seems like something that would be on an alias and not one of the main projects.

Vziel Projet Listening List 5: Vziel Projet - Hail Jesu Recurrection

Artist: Vziel Projet
Genre: Ambient / Proto-Comfy Synth
Label: Genetic Trance
CAT#: GT268 / GTC001
Year: 2011

It was just Easter this past weekend, so might as well do their Easter album, Hail Jesu Resurrection. This has always been of my favorite albums by Vziel, three tracks (with the main being over 20 minutes long), of wonderful lo-fi ambient recorded direct to tape. The album has all of the common trappings of comfy synth, but long before comfy synth was a thing (and done much better than most comfy synth). The tonality of the instrument, slow chord progressions, and pretty melodies, make me envision a church in a sleepy little country down in the snow. It really is a wonderful ambient album, and being a Christian, I especially love the religious theme it has. If you're into stuff like Grandma's Cottage, then you'll love this.
