This is one of the releases that got me interested in Vziel's Это гавнич stuff. A short two track EP of extremely minimal experimental techno. Both tracks use the same simple kick-only techno loop, then are accompanied by an assortment of field recordings and recorded audio. I love this musique concrete approach to dance music.

Two short and very similar tracks (I think the second track is just the first one slightly slowed). Are experimental loops with a heavy focus on loud high pitched frequencies. Normally I'm fine with abrasive sounds, but this managed to actually hurt my ears, very nice.

So far (to my knowledge) the only release of the mysterious alias, aureolin drifter. Is a two minute single of rhythmic and minimal snare patterns, sounds like it was inspired by Steve Reich's Clapping Music.

This was actually the first Hooligan Faust release that I heard, and its a short two track EP. Both tracks on the release are really nice and incredibly diverse, completely changing direction and sound every few bars. At some moments its surprisingly melodic/harmonic, at other moments its an assault of what sounds like 90s PC game SFX, and other times more like a score. As with the alias's "theme", its a lot of out dated and bizarre soundfonts, which gives it a really cool sound (also, more people should experiment with soundfonts, is underrated and fun).

The stuff Vziel does under the name of Hooligan Faust has always been really interesting me. Often is avant-garde classical and/or melodic tunes with a heavy focus on outdated and bizarre soundfonts, as well as pitching various percussion and sound effects. Farnsworth Determinant is one of my favorite releases of the alias, a two track EP, and I love the weird soundfonts and sounds in the title track; reminds me a lot of old PC games that I used to play as a kid. The second track is cool too with a heavy focus on percussion and a more minimal approach, with some of the motifs of the title track re-appearing.

Это гавнич is one of the weirder Vziel aliases, with a lot of the releases being incredibly short experimental tracks, but then there's experimental outsider house under the moniker as well. Anyways, this is a short two second EP that's just reversed spoken word (they have a decent amount of releases like this).

A short two track experimental EP. The first track Opus 6 starts with some cut-up Eastern European music, then sounds that sound like you're scanning shortwave radio, then a long section of crappy text-to-speech (and I have no clue what its saying, especially since I don't think its even in english). The second track is some loud high pitched frequencies and a looped sample. This seems like something that would be on an alias and not one of the main projects.

Merzlux is an interesting project's of Vziel's. Originally starting as a HNW project (which I'm pretty sure is just the same song being released repeatedly), it gradually evolved into just another alias, but full of short experimental releases. An Attempt to Revive Genetic Trance is a 28 second single in the micro-genre of vulnerable musique concrete, whatever that is. I feel that musique concrete as a whole is largely overshadowed these days by its noisier brothers, but its a great genre, and this single is actually one of my favorite works of the genre. A really nice field recording of traffic combined with sporadic short clips of bass tones and snippets of techno, its reminiscent of Rudolf Eb.er's stuff, but without all of the perversion (not that that's a bad thing though).

My commentary on the releases of the week of 9/16/2019 - 9/22/2019. Gold listings means its a favorite of mine~ TV1737 - Pento - Notebook EP Really nice mashcore and lolicore EP by Pento~! The tracks change up a
nice amount within themselves; one moment its spastic cut and slice
mashcore, then its stuttery trance, then breakcore, then speedcore, then
slower club music, then lolicore. Its an eclectic release that's a lot
of fun to listen to~ Totally recommended if you like mashcore. One of my
favorites of the week~

TV1739 - Chaosmond - Half a Hundred Husbandos: Mentai 2 Really amazing shotacore album~! This album is packed with shota cock
upbeat tunes that are really fun. Sped up songs, gabber kicks, and
breaks; whats there not to love? Despite being shotacore this has a
lolicore sound due to the samples being sped up. This is a really nice
release, perfect if you love shotacore, partycore, or lolicore. Another
favorite of this week~
TV1740 - ＨａｒｓｈＮｏｉｓｅＦａｃｔｏｒｙ™ - Harsh Noise Slowly Becoming White Noise A nice dense noise track from ＨａｒｓｈＮｏｉｓｅＦａｃｔｏｒｙ™, this one develops slowly making it a perfect noise track to work to. It has a really nice crunchy texture similar to HNW.
TV1741 - Гипертрофированный Антиинтеллектуализм - Горизонт Познания Really nice dark ambient single, again I think his covers are trolling
but I oddly think they go with the music quite well. Nice dark synths
with a minimal drum track. It somewhat has a bit of a videogame sound to
it imo. Really nice track~
TV1742 - RAINBOW ★ STAR ★ 36 / 木村先生 / Erronia Surrection / VxBxDxDx / XoArK / Antimatter Prism - Noise Split A nice big split by numerous internet noisers, really amazing album. The
tracks are varied but also flow together very nicely into one
consistently solid album. This is one of the best noise albums I've
heard in quite some time, highly recommended if you like noise music.
This is my 3rd fave of the week~
